Why it is worth it
The Uffizi is not a general art museum that happens to be in Florence; it is the Medici collection in the building the Medici built for it. The sequence of rooms is roughly chronological, so walking it is walking the Renaissance forward in time.
Booking and timing
Reserve a timed entry in advance. Check the current price and hours on the official site before you go — they change by season and we would rather send you to the source than quote a number that has gone stale.
If you have two hours, walk the first floor deliberately and treat the ground floor as optional. If you have four, add the Vasari Corridor if it is open.
